MAGIC MINUTE // I just stepped down from the platform when a youngish guy in a lumberjack shirt and a peak cap came over and said, “I really enjoyed your talk… What got you into this subject of speaking fear?”
I shared the short version of my early struggles and fears and then I asked him, “What do you do with your time?”
“I work in a bank.”
“Ah a teller?”
“No, I’m in accounts.”
“Ah helping the ordinary folk who come in off the street I suppose…”
“No, I specialize in high-end investment portfolios.”
“Mmm, that lumberjack shirt and cap hadn’t flagged that sort of a job!”
A lesson here…
The clothes people are wearing shouldn’t denote who they are or what they do in life.
