Magic Minute Washing Machine Madness!

MAGIC MINUTE // Remember the days when you first left home trying to find your way?

Well I found myself in a share house with my mate Joe and the bane of our life was our old washing machine which lived in the kitchen.

And I’m not joking when I say it had a crazy mind of its own!

It was a real monster of a thing from another time and so unstable it needed to be bolted to the floor – which our landlord never got around to doing.

So whenever we did our washing, in the spin cycle it would dangerously lumber its way across the kitchen and the only way we could stop it was to leap on board and hold on for dear life!

And to be effective it needed the weight of both of us because one wasn’t enough.

In the end it was all part of the washing cycle and we’d rush towards it the moment it started rocking out of control and begin its walkabout.

Ah some of the joys of handling life’s early challenges!
