MAGIC MINUTE // “Ever doggedly held on to something which has long had its day?

Well this is what happened with my infamous greeny-brown Magic Minute jacket that I’ve been wearing from the start.

When I first wore it 30 years ago this expensive jacket was in fashion and I’ve blindly hung on to it ever since.

I couldn’t see that it’d lost its sparkle and detracted from my stories.

It took a phone call from a concerned friend of mine to what everyone else had been telling me for ages!

Phillipa told me straight out, “The jacket’s drab colour and ill-fitting cut does nothing for you at all, and it’s well past its use-by date!

There was no denying the truth in this, but I’d thought my life stories were enough to hold my viewers’ attention.

I now clearly see that precious Magic Minute seconds were being lost in people contemplating this daggy jacket!

My new attire has added a bit more sparkle to the whole thing!

So get rid of the ‘Same Old’ and change it to something new and refreshing!
