Magic Minute Help Was On The Way
MAGIC MINUTE // MAGIC MINUTE // Our coachload of weary travellers had just arrived at our camping ground after a gruelling day in Northern Sweden – when disaster struck!
The main gate was padlocked!
They began to panic, “What are we going to do?!”
“Don’t worry, we’ll sort something out,”
My mind was racing, so I bought everyone a coffee to calm things down.
Then I slipped out into the main street and flagged down a Swedish police car, pouring our disastrous predicament out to the astonished officers.
“Can you help us?!” I pleaded.
“Just a moment,” they said, and spoke to some off-season place!
The wait went on forever…
But the outcome!
I rushed back to my disheartened group and nonchalantly said, “I’ve just organised a mountain chalet with the police – heated cabins and all… and they’re going to escort us there!”
An incredulous cheer went up.
So, escorted by the Swedish police, we soon found ourselves in this amazing Mountain Chalet, instead of our drab old tents!
That night, dressed in our finest from what we had in our suitcases, we enjoyed a sumptuous ‘formal’ dinner prepared in the kitchen,
Then a hilarious mock court-case trying me for ‘getting us into this pickle’, with the Judge going easy on me and the Jury setting me free!
Like my dear old mum always said, “Never be afraid to ask for help!”
