Magic Minute Young Girl’s Leap Of Courage
MAGIC MINUTE // The mere thought of deep water had traumatized 7-year-old Angie for years, so with the school swimming finals now upon them she was terrified!
Sensitive to this anxiety her swimming teacher put her in charge of the name lists so she could participate in the thrill of it all.
At the end of the last race, and all the excitement died down, Angie said to her beloved teacher:
“Mrs. Alford would you hold my hand and jump into the pool with me?”
She gently took Angie’s hand and in they leapt!
They bobbed to the surface overcome with emotion for this was no ordinary feat.
That day, this courageous leap to Freedom made Angie a winner too!
