Magic Minute Unexplainable Wonder
MAGIC MINUTE // Ever experienced something wonderful that defies explanation?
Well, the first part of it happened on a nice summer’s day when I stumbled across the resting place of Lachlan Macquarie, Australia’s fifth Colonial Governor from 1810 to 1821, among the woodlands on the Scottish Isle of Mull.
He was sent to deal with Sydney’s Infamous Rum Rebellion and get things moving again!… which he did to great aclaim.
But towards the end of his tenure, London abruptly called him Home and he was soon forgotten.
The second part came when a stately pair of brown snow hares hopped into my view, their big eyes reflecting the injustice I was thinking.
Governor Macquarie is at peace now surrounded by his Woodland friends.
