Magic Minute Hello Old Friend

MAGIC MINUTE // Funny how clever the mind can be in discerning someone you know from a distance even walking away from you.

It takes in the way they carry themselves, what they’re wearing, and even the back of their head is factored into an image of this person you know well.

While strolling along a crowded footpath I spied a close friend in front of me wearing his usual clothes and sporting the same haircut he’d always had.

The same everything.

No mistake this was Peter.

I ran up and slapped him in the middle of the back and said, “What are you doing here?”

And a shocked complete stranger turned round and stared at me.

“Sorry mate I thought you were someone else,” was all I could say.

Even our clever minds can sometimes get it all wrong!
