MAGIC MINUTE // Ever daydreamed yourself into trouble?

Well, our concrete gang just put the final touches to an artful driveway after hours of toiling in the sun.

Younger than the others, I always cleaned the tools and was wheeling them in a barrow full of slurry, my eyes wide open for I was away with the birds…

In a trance, I began pushing this sloshy load up a driveway to empty it on a vacant lot when I found found myself sinking into our freshly finished artwork, upsetting barrow tools and slurry all over it.

“What the hell are you doing?!” screamed Jock, our heartless supervisor.

Then something extraordinary happened.

The whole team rushed over and made it all good again.

Their kindness saved my neck!
