Magic Minute Try A Little Kindness
MAGIC MINUTE // Being kind to young folk doing their best shouldn’t be hard.
I recently overheard a lady placing an order at a fast food drive-thru.
“I’ll have two free senior coffees” she said. “Large!”
“I’m sorry,” said the teenager. “The senior coffees only come in medium size.”
“well I want it large!” she repeated.
“Well that would be an extra $1.29.”
The lady changed tack. “Well give me 19 freshly cooked hash browns – and I mean freshly cooked!”
“You’ll have to park in the waiting bay while we do this.”
“What’s the ETA?!” The lady demanded.
‘Give the poor girl a break!’ I thought, ‘it’s not a bloody airport!’
Some people just don’t get it. It’s not hard to be kind and considerate.
