Magic Minute Self Acceptance
MAGIC MINUTE // A young guy once asked me, “What if you don’t like yourself and you don’t like where you’ve been?”
His cabinet making business had collapsed.
His marriage was a dismal failure and to cap it off, bystanders had laughed when he skidded headlong into a duck pond on his bike.
That was it.
He sold his house and moved interstate in search of happiness and peace of mind.
But he soon learned you can’t run from yourself to find these things.
It must start with self-acceptance, for everyone experiences ups and downs in their lives.
David no longer sees himself as a failure.
He realizes he doesn’t get another chance at life.
He has to make the most of who he is now and learn from where he’s been.
